The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in conjunction with other security agencies such as Ghana Immigration Service, the Police Service, Bureau of National Investigations and the Ghana Health Service on Tuesday 13 March, 2018, welcomed and received some Ghanaian deportees from the United States of America and Libya at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
The deportees, most of who were in pensive moods, were taken through the necessary registration exercises after which they were assisted with tokens to help them go back to their respective destinations.
They were also taken through series of counseling upon arrival at the airport.
This move was to help the deportees identify themselves with their families and also help them integrate better into the society.
In all, a total of Eighty Six people (86) were registered from the US and One Hundred and Six (106) people from Libya.
The team from the NADMO headquarters was led by Gavivina Tamakloe, Director in-charge of Relief and Reconstruction Department.
