Enterprising WAFA SC striker Samuel Tetteh has been handed an official Ghana call-up for this month’s 2018 FIFA World Cup second round qualifier.
He was one of five Ghana U23 players who earned late call-ups to help make the numbers for the Black Stars as they were preparing to play Congo in friendly two months ago.
Tetteh made a cameo as they beat the Red Devils 3-2 in the exhibition.
But this will be his first call-up from Ghana coach Avram Grant who spotted the talent during the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal.
Tetteh has been promoted after decent performance for the junior national teams this year.
The 18-year-old shone for the Black Satellites at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand despite elimination at the last 16 stage.
He was also with the Ghana U23 squad at the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.
Tetteh played for the Local Black in the qualifiers to the 2016 African Nations Championship.
