Captain for the Congolese team, Gabriel Zakuani, has fired warning shots against the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of their quarter-final game on Sunday.
The Leopards, touted as under dogs, qualified from the group stages topping group C at the expense of favourite Cote d’Ivoire whiles Ghana placed second in group D.
Zakuani, who has three goals to his credit and currently the tournament’s top scorer claims they are more compact and play as a team.
“We’ve been together for a few years now since the last time and added a bit more quality because we’ve been together longer and most of the team mates know each other very well. So I think we are more like a family now than team mates,” Zakuani said.
The last time the two sides met was in 2013 in the group stages with the game ending two all.
Ghana will be travelling from Port Gentil to Oyem where the match will be played.
