Mrs Nana Yaa Boateng, Managing Director of CECT-Group , said the donation was an annual culture of the company to support the Ministry ahead of every Farmer’s Day Celebration.
“Each year, we try to increase the donations we give out. Last year, we donated items worth more than GHS81,000 but this year, we have gone above GHC100,000. This shows that indeed, we’re the fisherman’s friend,” she added.
Receiving the items, Mrs Mavis Hawa Koomson, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, thanked the three companies for the kind gesture.
She gave the assurance that her outfit would put the items and cheques to good use.
The Minister called on other corporate organisations to come on board to support the Ministry.
