2021 Francophonie Festival
2021 Francophonie Festival

The Francophone Embassies in Ghana cordially invite you to the 2021 Francophonie Festival that will take place from March 13th to March 20th

The International Day of la Francophonie is celebrated on the 20th of March every year all over the world. 2021 will mark the 51st anniversary of the Francophonie. The theme for 2021 is “Francophone women; Resilient women”, which is going to run through all of the activities of the program.

Due to the pandemic, the Francophone Embassies in Ghana worked together to propose a special program, almost exclusively online.

On the agenda: the first edition of the young Francophone writer Prize in Ghana, online meeting with writers, professional day, exhibition, series of podcast putting forward Francophone women in Ghana, French-learning games day… A series of surprise videos about Francophonie featuring Ghanaian prominent personalities will also be released everyday on the social media account of the Francophone Embassies.

This year, the 22 Francophone Embassies in Ghana are partnering with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Ghana, the network of the Alliances Françaises in Ghana, and the Pacific Alliance Cultural Centre, gathering Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.

The group of Francophone Embassies in Ghana includes: Algeria, Belgium, Bénin, Burkina Faso, Canada, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, France, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Mali, Marocco, Mexico, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Switzerland, and Togo.
