The 2022 National Best Cocoa Farmers have begun an educational tour of European cocoa processing facilities, part of their awards package from the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
This tour enhances their understanding of the global cocoa value chain.
The delegation, including Bismark Fuachie (2022 National Best Cocoa Farmer), Joyce Dapaah (2022 Most Enterprising Female Cocoa Farmer), and Peter Paintsil (2022 Most Promising Young Cocoa Farmer), will visit advanced processing facilities in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
They will explore various stages of cocoa processing—from roasting and grinding to refining and packaging—and engage with industry experts.
Bismark Fuachie enjoyed the tour, highlighting its potential to enrich their understanding and improve their farming practices.
This experience aims to strengthen their contributions to Ghana’s cocoa industry and foster continued success in the sector.
