The bodies of three local farmers have been recovered and buried after a boat capsized in central Nigeria, local disaster management agency said on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday at Wuya community along the River Kaduna, said the State Emergency Management Agency, which coordinated the rescue operation.

The three victims, consisting of a man and his two sons, were buried on Saturday. They were returning from their farm when the boat suddenly capsized.

An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the incident. Enditem
