419 man returns $10,000 missing cash to owner in Nigeria

The Average young men in Nigeria and around the world are perceived as confidence tricksters, involved in theft and dishonesty of all kinds including the use of the internet to siphon money from people. However, the rare show of honesty by a Nigerian security officer of United Bank of Africa [UBA] has proved that there are many men and women in Nigeria and the world over who are honest.

The young man Ibrahim Obanago returned a missing $10,000 cash to the owner, a move that has changed the bad perception about all Nigerians. To honor the young man, the UBA in Nigeria organized a huge reception for him. At the reception two governors of Nigeria, from Bauchi and Adamawa showed up to show their appreciation to the young man for his show of honesty that would go a long way to show that not all Nigerian young men are crooks. The two governors rewarded him with $15,000.

In a video that was circulated by the UBA and intercepted by us, the Governor of Bauchi Mohammed Ibrahim expressed delight at the honesty shown by the security officer saying that the unique act by the security officer shows that there are good stories of good men in Nigeria which are not told. He said he was ready to provide the young man with $5,000. the governor of Adamawa gave the good Samaritan $10,000 in addition to prove that goodness pays. The chairman of UBA in Nigeria was full of praise for the security officer [whose earnings are lower than the amount he found] for what he did and said that it goes to show that the staff of UBA are honest. He said the UBA preaches and practices professionalism, integrity and honesty hence the character exhibited by Mr. Ibrahim. In addition to what was given the security officer the senate and Federal Government of Nigeria also gave the young man N5Million.

This amount and many more expected from the audience and members of the public, was meant
to show that the government and entire people of Nigeria uphold honesty and integrity and would like to promote it in Nigeria and the world at large. Executive Director eanfoworld for sustainable developmentabdulai.alhasan@gmail.com/eanfoworld@yahoo.com 0244370345/0208844792/0274853710
