The UNCTAD train for trade for modern port management program which is being sponsored by the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) with support from the Irish Aid and the Port of Irelandis aimed at equipping the Port community including staff of GPHA with techniques in modern port management.
Participants who are drawn from GPHA, stevedoring companies, shipping lines among other industry players would be trained on port operations management, port administration, and port management among other areas.
They are therefore expected to deliver efficient services to clients after going through the program as part of the port authority’s vision to transform the port to a modern port.
Organizers of the Porgram believe the UNCTAD training will make the Ports of Ghana more efficient and improve service delivery tremendously.
Participants will be expected to present a dissertation after the 2year program and certificates would be duly awarded to them.
