An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted 17 km east of North Vanlaiphai, northeast India, at 1207 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 23.1333 degrees north latitude and 93.2381 degrees east longitude.
