6th Edition Of BWP Series With Papa Held



iiiThe 6th Edition of the BWP Series has been held at the Carhaya Restaurant in Accra.

The breakfast series was designed to equip the youth with skills that will help them cope with the ever changing economic situation in Ghana.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the BWP Series Papa Arkhurst, who is also the IT Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an interview noted that, it is about time the people of Ghana especially the youth become creative, innovative so as to promote and build brands that will be appealing to the market.

Papa Arkhurst also averred that the BWP Series provides a unique platform to share ideas and experiences to improve one’s self.

He however expressed the hope that at the end of the series much will be achieved since more resourced persons will be invited to impart their knowledge and expertise to others.

The topic for the 6th Edition of the BWP Series, was ‘Branding.’

Samuel Amanor, CEO of Carhaya Restaurant and a resource person for the day indicated that branding is everything, “everything we do must have a unique identification. That is branding,” he said.

According to him, branding is Ghana needs much to be desired since there is not much that goes into branding.

He called on the individual, corporate organizations, parents and guardians to do more in terms of branding their products, themselves and their children for better future.

He also noted that parents have the lager responsibility to build their children for future, where they can be accepted anywhere they go because of the way they brand themselves and are branded.

According to Samuel Amanor, Branding is a self packaging that lives a unique impression in peoples’ minds about a person and that it is important for one to know the world around him or her, his or her skills and be able to identify him or herself with a unique identity that will appeal to others.

Also, Adisa Braimah-Annan a lifestyle strategist with O’s Style Lounge indicated that branding define who u are as a person and that personal branding is very important since the kind of image one has created for himself for which he is known for adds much to his life.

According to her, the best way to brand oneself is for him or her to look good, adding that 55% of communication that goes out from a person is through physical or body talk.

She averred that the way one dresses tells who he or she relay is and therefore important for people to pay much attention to their physical outlook by creating a unique brand of themselves.
