A total of nine terrorists were killed and one arrested after an attack on army position Monday in the east of Burkina Faso, an official release said on Tuesday.

Two civilians were killed and 14 others injured as they were on board a public transport bus in the vicinity of the area of the attack, the release issued by the gendarmerie Tuesday evening said.

Burkina Faso army stated it seized a considerable batch of arsenal, ammunitions, mobile phones and motorbikes from the terrorists.

According to the release, the attack targeted a gendarmerie position around 10 a.m. in Tanwalbougou locality, in the eastern Fada N’Gourma department of the west-African country. Enditem
