The AASU Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Richmond Orichos Neufville who was earlier suspended by the Liberia National Students Union, LINSU has now also been dismissed by the General Auditing Commission, Liberia.
Embroiled in a conflict of interest situation at the General Auditing Commission (GAC) in Liberia the organization had no option than to dismiss Mr. Richmond Orichos Neufville who according to the GAC was engaged in disingenuous political maneuverings.
The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.? (Samuel Johnson).
Until his suspension, Mr. Richmond Neufville engaged in disruptive maneuvers at the AASU Secretariat, which has created structural bottlenecks in the organization.
AASU must not depart from its core values of probity and accountability, Mr. Richmond Neufville must be dealt with according to the tenets of the AASU constitution. Whilst Mr. Neufville’s suspension is refreshing, the Secretariat must not relent until its has restored sanity within the framework of AASU.
