Recover several cars and arms from the gang
The police command at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Thursday, arrested five members of a robbery syndicate which specialises in snatching exotic cars at gunpoint or steal them from car parks.
The suspects are Chumazie Emanini, Michael Nweke, Amarachi Eneh, John Nuhu, and one Promise Okafor who claimed to be a lawyer.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ade Shinaba, while confirming the arrest, also revealed that about 15 cars that had already been sold by the gang are being recovered in parts of the country by the FCT SARS investigators.
The commissioner advised car owners to provide minimum security in their cars, noting that car snatchers can open cars with master-keys.
