FireflyCert.25072014Accra Cocktail Week 2014 is the very first cosmopolitan event in Accra which took place 15th ? 21st June 2014. ?The week-long event provided residents in Accra the opportunity to learnaboutcocktails, experience some of Accra?s best mixologists and pair cocktails and food at a discounted rate throughout 20 bars.

ACW 2014 offered our brand sponsors Amarula, Kasapreko, Knights Whisky, Martini and Bacardi an opportunity to deliver an unforgettable experience to its consumers and showcase the range of cocktails that could be made with its products. ?It was a platform where brands showcased the different cocktails that can be made with their brand.

To our satisfaction, we had 20 bars that participated in the first ever ACW2014 and the Cocktail Bar of the Year judging competition. 6 judges went visited a total of 12 bars throughout the week to judge overall which bar delivered the best cocktail, had the best environment and offered the best experience.

With the various experiential activities, which took place during ACW2014, the competition was a concept set to excite the bars most as all bar managers plus bar men uniquely exposed their proficiency in order to be ranked ACW Bar of the Year.

After 4 nights, and several debates, the judges finally adjudged:

3rd Place ? Sweeties off Spintex Road

2nd Place ? Movenpick bar in Accra

1st Place ? Firefly bar and lounge in Osu

The competition was tight for first place and third place, we would like to thank all our judges: Cordie Aziz, Dele Aden, Jacqui Ocansey and Nana Essuman for their participation and all the bars who saw ACW2014 through.

Next stop Lagos Cocktail Week and next year we shall be hosting ACW2015
