Mr. Acheampong merited the position as he emerged victorious in the 6th July Bye Elections held in Abetifi.
The mood was of the house was a cheerful one as the new member was introduced and welcomed to the nation’s law making house.
Minority leader Osei Kyei tasked the new Member to learn the standing orders of the house and also learn from the senior members of the house to enable him mature well and prepare as the general Elections approaches. According to the minority leader,his contributions and attitude will help him in maintaining the seat after the 2016 General Elections.
Adding his voice to this event, the deputy majority leader Alfred Agbesi congratulated the new member and also asked him to comport himself both in and outside Parliament.
Speaker of parliament Edward Doe Adjao ,finally welcomed him to the house of legislators and advised him to be an MP for all; not only for those who voted for him .He should be a leader for all and give a listening ear to all who will approach him.
Bryan Achampong has therefore assumed office and is fully representing the people of Abetifi Constituency with water and sanitation management issues on his mind.
