Isaac Adongo, Ranking Member of Parliament’s Finance Committee, assured NDC supporters in Tamale a robust assurance during the campaign launch, promising that John Mahama’s return to power would resolve Ghana’s economic challenges.

Adongo proudly highlighted the NDC’s track record as the most capable of tackling the nation’s economic difficulties, contrasting it sharply with current proposals. He criticized Dr Bawumia, Vice President and NPP flagbearer, for suggesting a credit system enabling Ghanaians to purchase mobile phones on instalment plans.

“The NDC will not resort to gimmicks like selling mobile phones at Tiptoe Lane for GHC1.00 or GHC2.00,” Adongo declared, emphasizing Mahama’s commitment to genuine economic solutions and youth empowerment.

“We will address our country’s problems and create opportunities for our youth. The NDC has a proven history of successfully managing challenging economies,” he affirmed confidently.

Adongo’s remarks underscored the ideological differences between the NDC and NPP ahead of the upcoming elections, framing the debate around substantive economic policies and the party’s respective capabilities in governance.
