The First Capital Plus Premier League took a new twist on Wednesday as
leaders AshantiGold saw their profligate lead on the log cut to a single
point by 2010/2011 champions Aduana Stars after week 26.
United whilst Aduana Stars defeated Sekondi Hasaacas 2-0 at the Agyemang
Badu Park in Dormaa which means that a further slip by the leaders could see
Aduana leapfrog to the summit of the ladder.
At the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra, relegation threatened Hearts of
Oak picked all three maximum points from city rivals Liberty Professionals
courtesy Foovi Aguidi?s goal late in the first half.
Great Olympics gave Berekum Chelsea a shock of their lives when they came
from a goal down to beat the visitors 4-2 at the Accra Sports stadium, but the
irony of it is that both Olympics and Hearts of Oak could not move up on the

Inter Allies.
New entrant, West African Football Academy (WAFA) went down 1-2 to
Medeama SC at the Tarkwa T&A Park despite taking an early lead through
Zakaria Mumuni.
At the Kpando Park, Hearts of Lions did not show mercy to relegation bound
B.A United as they hammered them 5-0.
