The Referees committee of Africa’s football Governing body, CAF has suspended Referee Seechurn Rajindrapasard for his poor performance in the quarter final match between host nation, Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia in Bata.
At its extraordinary meeting held at the CAF headquarters In Bata, Equatorial Guinea on the 2nd February, 2015, the CAF Referees Committee reviewed the performance of the referee Seechurn Rajindrapasard (Mauritius) during Match No. 26, Tunisia vs. Equatorial Guinea played on 31 January 2015 in Bata in the quarter final tournament of the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
The Mauritanian Referee came under intense criticism for various decisions he took during the match between the host nation, Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia. His decisions which according to football enthusiasts were shameful and shambolic marred the beauty of the game.
The Referees Committee noted with regret the poor performance of the referee during the match, including an unacceptable failure to maintain calm and ensure proper control of the players during the match.
Referee Seechurn Rajindrapasard has been axed from the referees handling matches at Africa’s biggest football tournament, Afcon in Equatorial Guinea.
The Referees committee for the shambolic performance put up by the Referee has suspended him for a period of six months and to top the suspension, referee Seechurn Rajindrapasard will be delisted from the CAF “A” Elite Referees panel.
