Tunisia-based midfielder Seidu Salifu admits he is gutted over his exclusion from the latest Black Stars squad.

The 21-year-old was confident of earning a call up to the Black Stars for the opening 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius due to his consistency in helping Club Africain secure the domestic league title.

Salifu was handed his first call up into the Black Stars for last the last batch of friendly matches against Mali and Senegal but failed to make his debut.

The former Ghana U20 star concedes he is massively disappointed in his international snub.

?I am very disappointed,? Salifu is quoted by Supersport.

?For me as a player I want to play for my country and this is a big disappointment considering by consistency this season but this is football.?
