The Ghana Black Stars have taken the lead in their opening game against Senegal.


Luck was on the Stars’ sided in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Equatorial Guinea when Captain of the day, Dede Ayew scored in the 15th minute through a penalty in the second half of the game.

This suden joy came after the Senegal goalkeeper brought down midfielder Christian Atsu in the penalty area.

Atus is tripped in the box after running onto a lovely through ball and wins a penalty.

But the Senegalese who were determined to win the match also came through with an equalizer, making the scores hit 1-1.

At the end of the whole game, Senegal emerged winner of the match, whipping Ghana by a 2 goals to 1.

The second goal for Senegal came within 3 minutes added time.
