The hopes of the Ghana Black Stars to sweep their first leg match at the ongoing African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) look bleak as the team with start the journey today without Asamoah Gyan and John Boye.
The two outstanding players have been reported to be suffering from some level of injuries hence, will not feature in the starting line-up in their opening Group C match against Senegal.
The information came as a big blow to many football lovers and supporters who were hoping that the two will do wonders against their opposing teams.
However Avram Grant has replaced Asamoah Gyan with Jordan Ayew as the sole Black Stars attacker for the match.
Andre Ayew will captain the Black Stars as he is currently the most senior of the players in camp.
Denmark-based Amartey who will join Mohammed Awal, Jonathan Mensah to form a strong centre-back partnership against the Senegal, is taking Boye?s position.
