Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu has urged New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates and supporters to set aside internal differences and focus on winning the 2024 general elections.
At the NPP’s 2024 manifesto launch in Takoradi on August 18, Afenyo-Markin underscored the urgency of unity and the need for a concerted effort.
“There’s no time for settling disputes; it’s time to get to work,” he said. “We have a few months ahead of us. I encourage you all to support the government’s cause.
Let’s finish strong; a prize awaits us.”
He urged parliamentary candidates to move past internal conflicts and concentrate on their campaigns.
“Enough with the reconciliation—let’s push forward, campaign tirelessly, and work day and night,” Afenyo-Markin stated.
Afenyo-Markin highlighted the importance of engaging with voters nationwide. “Visit every household. We don’t have time for disputes.
Fight for this party as if you were fighting to protect a sister or a mother,” he said. “We need to increase our numbers in Parliament.
Let’s achieve this together and secure victory.”
