Leaders of employer lobby groups from 18 African countries are scheduled to meet here next week with business organisations to share experiences and exchange knowledge.
Botswana’s business apex body Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manapower (BOCCIM) on Tuesday said the two- day conference aims to provide employers and business organizations from the East, Central and Southern Africa an opportunity to actively promote their business and network.
Shiellah Moribame, Head of Public Affairs, Marketing and Communications at BOCCIM said the conference is to review what is required to extend an employer organization’s mandate beyond its current, improving service to members and to understand the processes required to play a meaningful role in socio-economic discourse of their country.
The conference is scheduled to be held from May 4 to 5. Botswana’s Minister of Labour and Home Affairs Edwin Batshu is also expected to attend the conference. Enditem
