A two-week joint military training exercise codenamed Shared Accord 19 closed Wednesday at the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Combat Training Center in Gabiro sector, eastern Rwanda, with a call on world armies for collaboration in dealing with security issues.
The exercise was co-organized by the Rwanda Defence Force in partnership with the army of the United States.
It is only through partnership that we can together deal with current or future conflicts, RDF Chief of Defence Staff Patrick Nyamvumba said while closing the training exercise.
No country or military can single-handedly deal with terrorism, restoration of peace and dignity, said Nyamvumba.
About 1200 military, police personnel and civilians from 26 countries from Africa, Europe and the United States joined the exercise.
The exercise aimed to help improve the interoperability and capabilities of participants and provided an opportunity to share knowledge and experience with partners. Enditem
