Air Namibia reduces Johannesburg daily flights

Logistical issues have forced Air Namibia to reduce its daily flights from Windhoek to Johannesburg from three to two per day effective Friday.

Although Air Namibia spokesperson Paul Nakawa could not give details of the logistical issues, he said the situation is expected to last until June 2.

In a statement Friday, Nakawa said Air Namibia can only resume the flights once the Directorate of Civil Aviation has resolved the issues.

He said the flights that have been affected are SW727 that leaves Windhoek at 13h55 and SW728 that leaves Johannesburg at 18h20.

All passengers, Nakawa further said, who had already booked for the affected flights will be accommodated into the 08h30 flight from Windhoek to Johannesburg and the 17h35 Windhoek to Johannesburg flights.

Those from Johannesburg to Windhoek, he said, will be transferred into the 12h00 and 06h40 flights. Enditem
