The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has lauded HFC Bank Ghana for showing commitment to customers.

He said the bank had been very instrumental in the development of the mortgage industry and provided innovative products that cut across its varied customer base.

The Asantehene urged management and staff of the Bank to aspire for excellence in their operations, especially in the area of commercial, investment and mortgage banking, as well as micro finance.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu said this when management of the HFC Bank paid a courtesy call on him at his Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by Nana Agyei Duku, the Board Chairman.

The others were Asare Akuffo, the Managing Director, Osei Asafo Adjei, Executive-Director in-charge of Corporate Banking, Charles Bonsu, General Manager in-charge of Mortgage and Consumer Loans, as well as Lord Koramoa, Head of Marketing and Communications.

The visit was to congratulate the Asantehene, who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his enthronement as the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool.

The Bank, as part of the visit, donated traditional drinks and cheque for GHC50,000 towards the celebration of the anniversary and the impending Otumfuo Special Golf Tournament slated for Kumasi.

The Asantehene said the Manhyia Palace would continue to be supportive of the Bank in their quest to achieving its mission statement.

Mr. Akuffo said the Bank has 35 branches with four in Kumasi.

The Bank, he said, was also constructing a state-of-the-art mall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to facilitate business activities on campus.

The Managing Director praised Otumfuo Osei Tutu for being development-oriented, saying 15-year rule of the King had seen him initiate many viable projects and programmes to raise the standard of living of the people.
