Alan Kyerematen, leader and founder of the Movement for Change, has outlined his commitment to constitutional reforms to overhaul Ghana’s governance framework if he is elected in the upcoming 2024 elections.

During a ‘Meet and Greet’ event in Accra, Kyerematen criticized the current constitution for failing to meet the country’s contemporary needs.

His campaign has drawn significant attention, with supporters rallying around his proposals for substantial changes in governance.

On Thursday, Kyerematen’s campaign was notably marked by a swarm of yellow butterflies, symbolizing his movement.

His team visited constituencies including Ayawaso East and Central, engaging with voters in areas such as Nima, Maamobi, Accra Newtown, Mallam Atta, Tiptoe Lane, and the Neoplan lorry terminal at Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

Kyerematen’s campaign has emphasized his plans to address economic challenges and constitutional shortcomings.

He criticized the ruling NPP and NDC for failing to stabilize the economy over the past three decades, arguing that his leadership is the only viable alternative.

He proposed that a Kyerematen administration review the 1992 Constitution to address issues related to winner-takes-all politics.

Additionally, he outlined plans to revamp the transport sector, stabilize the cedi, and reduce fuel prices to enhance local commerce.

Kyerematen pledged to remove duties on vehicle spare parts and lower fuel prices within the first two years of his presidency.

The Movement for Change is campaigning for voter support to implement these reforms and fulfil its vision for Ghana’s future.
