In our observation towards in this year’s elections, COGAI can emphatically preempt vindications of tension and violence that may erupt among political parties within communities already enjoying the camaraderie of peace and solidarity dwell among them.
COGAI in its management arrangement is proud to set forth a celebration dubbed NATIONAL MEDIA AND CREATIVE ARTS “NAMECA” FESTIVAL 2016. The festival is meant to bring the entire media houses and the celebrities togethe rwith their listeners, viewers and fans to fraternize in series of activities.
The purpose of the NAMECA Festival 2016 is concerted with a theme MAKING POLITICS SOCIABLE TO ENRICH DEMOCRACY through the MEDIA and CELEBRITIES.
This is a coined notional concept of the great wisdom of Malcolm X who said The MEDIA’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power; because they control the minds of the masses.
COGAI in perspective, regarding to sustaining peace and camaraderie living among Ghanaians is hereby prioritize with the media and celebs to goal the mission with several events throughout the country now, during and after the elections. The media and celebrities are the strong instruments for fostering peace and solidarity accords among the people of Ghana among all other human society and upon this regards we are yet to begin a four mouths activities to engage the public with peaceful events full of entertainment.
Upon this opinion that the Confederation Of Governance Assessment Institute “COGAI” has partner with various organizations like the NATIONAL SPORTS AUTHORITY to organize the “NAMECA SPORTS FESTIVAL 2016” across the country stadia at the various regional capitals and with other state and private institutions to embark the events. The NAMECA SPORTS FESTIVAL is expected to be hosted in the 10 regions of Ghana, commencing on the second week of June and end at third week of October, 2016.

The NAMECA FESTIVAL 2016 will also be characterized with several activities to commemorate our sustainable democracy with blends of other programmes briefly clarified below:
NAMECA MEMORIAL SOIREE – It will be a state of reminisces of our fallen idols in the film and music industries as well as the media personalities who have passed on to eternity. This is where a media house can use the occasion to demonstrate the passions of a beloved colleague. We expect that media houses and celebs who want to show their condolences may be given the opportunity to read speeches or speak to commemorate the fallen idols should write to us for approval.
*NAMECA FEAST FOR PEACE PRAYER SUMMIT – This event is in partnership with the BUREAU OF INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN COUNCIL – BICC, Ghana Missions and is collaboratively characterized by all RADIO PASTORS & PRESENTERS of various media houses. It will be a moment of fasting and prayers for the peace of the nation. This event will comes off in Accra at the Accra Sports Stadium; Cape Coast at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium; Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Tamale at Tamale Sports Stadium.
*ALL EDITORS PRESS FORUM – All Editors are required to play a role of peace in this year’s Elections. The Editorial forum is expected to build a consensus that will distinguished a news worthy bulletin devoid of intimidations; irascibilities, irritations, favoritism, nepotism etc in the reportages before, during and after elections.
*PRESIDENTIAL CARNIVAL DELIGHT – A special designed programme to bring all PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES to fraternize themselves before campaign starts. Candidates will sing, share the funny side of entertainment, read news and do probably whatever the media and celebs do. Candidates will promise Ghana violent free election.
ONE Ghana, ONE People – This ceremonious event will bring media houses and all-stars to hold the FLAG of GHANA for a peaceful. This will be a sign proving to the whole world that we the media and celebrities care and love of nation. We will set a bonfire to celebrate Ghana PEACEFULL POLLS ASSURED CAMPAIGN with speeches and gratitude.
CANDID NIGHT OF FLAGS – The event will be characterized with Carnivals, autographs and PAPARAZZI where the Celebrities will storm stage one after the other to preach peace.
NAMECA HEALTHCARE is designed as a package to help treat the silent killer diseases which mostly come from LIVER mal-function which could leads to HEPATITIS A, B, C, D and E; CIRHOSIS as a result of too much liquor intake. We have well-thought-about DIABETES which is one of the most commonly serious killer diseases by a research findings conducted by World Health Organization being considered as worse and prevalent disease easily to be contracted.
In regards to NAMECA HEALTHCARE OUTREACH programme, we have sought the assistance of SAVE YOUR LIVER FOUNDATION, GLOBE DIABETIES FOUNDATION – GHANA and few agencies to join hands in this campaign and we are greatly proud to fall in partnership with some media houses as our major campaigner to reduce LIVER Diseases like HEPATITIS and also DIABETES DISEASES in Ghana with Hords Ltd.
The NAMECA FESTIVAL 2016 has begun with NAMECA HEALTHCARE OUTREACH programmeand is continuing with the NAMECA SPORTS Festival on Saturday, 25th April, 2016 at the Accra Sports Stadium and Baba Yara Stadium. The rest of the regions will join soon at the various stadia within the regions allocated.
