Electoral Commission

The Electoral Commission (EC) has appealed to its Election 2020 Filed Operatives to exercise patience as the Commission works acidulously to pay their allowances.

Dr Bossman Eric Asare, the Deputy Chairman of the EC, in charge of Corporate Services, who made the appeal in Accra, said the Commission regretted the delay in effecting the payment and assured all that every pesewa would be paid.

He disclosed that 20 per cent of the workers had been paid, while processes were ongoing to settle an additional 30 per cent early next week.

Dr Asare said the rest would be paid a week after, explaining that the Commission had to wait for the government’s ministerial appointment before submitting its budget for processing

He expressed the Commission’s gratitude to the field operatives.
