One hundred and fifty (150) basic school children in the Moseaso Electoral Area, in the Amansie West District, have been supplied with large quantity of educational materials to aid their classroom performance.
These were made up of exercise books, mathematical sets and boxes of pens and were a gift from the assembly member, Mr. Daniel Kwaku Mensah.
Handing them over at a ceremony, he said it was his contribution towards the effort at improving the quality of education in the area.
He encouraged parents to put premium on education by making sure that all children of school going age enrolled.
Mr. Mensah said it was the way forward to make the lives of the young people meaningful to the society.
He applauded the government for the implementation of the free senior high school (SHS) policy and said this meant a lot to many.
Mr. Wiafe Akenten, an official at the District Education Office, who received the learning materials thanked the assembly member for the gesture.
