Good Morning Captain Smart,
I listened to your interview with Prof Addai on a submission he was purported to have made claiming the President and his appointees are a bunch of liars. You are one amongst our many journalists i have been monitoring on our airwaves because of your potential but your activities recently on radio suggests that you are steadily heading towards the arena of subtle mischief. You have the potential to reach the level of Komla Dumor and other renowned journalists and will advise that you don?t allow some mischievous journalists push you to tarnish your image. Prof Addai reduced you to the level you did not envisage, though you struggled to get your agenda on top, he used his rich experience to expose your journalistic handicaps.
In explaining his submission, he first debunked the story captured in your agenda setting newspaper the Daily Guide. He made you aware that you are part of the liars he was referring to, your inability to stand up for the truth is becoming problematic he stated. He was emphatic that the energy crisis facing the country isn?t the making of this administration but a problem passed on from past government to this present one. He said, after the Akosombo dam construction, we haven?t been able to build any other huge and viable dam to compliment power from Akosombo and with the growing population coupled with modernization of our economy, we shouldn?t expect anything else than this crisis. Though I have issues with some of his submissions, I think he took time to expatiate on the headline captured in the Daily Guide.
Godsbrain Smart, though the man tried explaining himself, you tried all your tricks to force his rundown the government which is unfortunate. I honestly think as journalist of your caliber with that huge listenership, you shouldn?t always center on the negatives but must endeavor to discuss the positive angle at least to restore hope in the ordinary Ghanaian listening to your programme.
Your questions and submissions only suggest your deep dislike for this administration which may not be the case in reality. I will advise that, you maintain your composure behind the consul to avoid unnecessary tagging which may demean your stature on the journalistic platform.
Captain, Prof. used certain hypothesis which ought not have been entertained on radio especially considering his age and his impact on the coming generation, we have many intellectuals of his caliber who may also have reservations about the administration but, they carry themselves with outright maturity whenever they express their opinion on radio or other media outlets. Instead of pontificating his unnecessary tantrums, you ought to have moved him into the right tangent to enrich your programme, I couldn?t fathom why he must deliberately run rout on the President and his administration when he had earlier situated the problems of this country on our ineptitude as a people and inadequate provisions by past regimes.
Captain, whenever you sit behind the consul, remember you have huge admirers so you shouldn?t allow manipulations by few miscreants who think only of their parochial interest to disappoint your numerous listeners and admirers. As we speak, some of us have information on activities of certain journalists with the multimedia group in collaboration with certain journalists outside to disturb this administration, the recent Michelle case attested to this information and I will brotherly advise you to stay off this mischievous elements to save your dignity. The more you engage yourself in this charlatanistic business, the rougher the grounds will be for you.
