ANA Holdings Inc will purchase three 787-10 Dreamliner jets and five 737-800s from Boeing and four A321ceo versions and three A321neo planes from Airbus, the carrier said in a statement.

The aircraft are for delivery between fiscal 2015 and fiscal 2021, ANA said.

In March, ANA said it would buy 40 aircraft from Boeing and 30 from Airbus for 1.7 trillion yen.

ANA also said Friday its net profit for the October-to-December period rose 25.2 per cent from a year earlier to 16.6 billion yen due to cost-cutting measures and further expansion of its international route network.

The company also posted an operating profit of 31.4 billion yen, up 21.8 per cent from the same period a year before, while sales rose 8.9 per cent.

ANA maintained its net profit outlook at 35 billion yen and operating profit forecast at 85 billion yen for the current financial year through March, while sales were predicted at 1.7 trillion yen.
