Angola has extended the deadline to June 23 for the submissions of applications for the public tender for the privatization of 12 state-owned agro-industrial companies, the Institute of Assets Management and State Participation (IGAPE) said on Wednesday.
IGAPE said the extension of the deadline aims to meet the requests of various investors who are unable to assess the conditions of the firms, as a result of the sanitary cordon imposed in Luanda during the prevailing State of Calamity in the country.
The companies are located in the province of Huila, Bie, Benguela and Malanje.
IGAPE said it will have to issue a special permit so that investors can verify the current state of the companies. Enditem
