All Progressives Congress (APC) Interim National Women Leader, Sharon Ikeazor, has restated the resolve of the party to initiate policies and programmes that would spur the nation?s economy.

Ikeazor said on Monday in Abuja that the decision of the party to put in place sound policies was part of the reasons some political parties merged.

According to her, the merger is to provide better alternative to ensuring the economic and political development of the country.

Ikeazor said the major preoccupation of the executives presently was to set up a structure for the party which would be done from the foundation.

The women leader said that the party would offer good governance and improve the social and economic well being of Nigerians if voted into office in 2015.

She appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to intensify efforts to ensure free and fair elections in 2015.

Ikeazor also urged the committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution to accord priority attention to the welfare of Nigerians.

“All hands must be on deck to ensure Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy,? she said.
