— Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said the country would maintain the support it has been extending towards a peaceful Somalia in a strengthened manner.

–Attaining goals set for the second phase of Ethiopia’s Growth and Transformation Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals require strong collective effort, according to the National Planning Commission.

Commissioner Yinager Dessie said Ethiopia is committed to replicate MDG successes in implementing the 2030 agenda.

— Norway is allocating an additional NOK 30 million (around 3.7 million U.S. dollars) in humanitarian aid to support people affected by an extremely severe drought in Ethiopia, said Børge Brende, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
