TIRANA — A helicopter of the Albanian Armed Forces crashed in the village of Grizhja, Shkodra region, north Albania, killing two crew members and injuring a third person onboard, Albanian Ministry of Defense confirmed on Wednesday.
“Two members of the crew, captain Florian Delija and lieutenant Donald Hoxha, died, while a third person, soldier Gerald Baramuca is injured and is being treated in Shkodra regional hospital,” the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, said in a statement during a press conference after the accident. SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir — Two militants were killed in separate gunfights with Indian troops in restive Indian controlled Kashmir, police said Wednesday.

DAMASCUS — The Islamic State (IS) militants are believed to have kidnapped 344 Syrian workers and employees from a cement factory near Damascus, the pro-government Sham FM radio reported on Wednesday.

ANKARA — A Turkish soldier was killed in an attack by Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the country’s southeastern province of Diyarbakir on Wednesday, Turkish security sources told Anadolu Agency.
