The Argentine navy ship that was held in Ghana for over two and half months has finally departed the country, Reuters reported today December 19, 2012 citing an official at the Tema port.

?The boat has just set sail after supplies (arrived),? Reuters quoted Mr Jacob Kwabla Adokor, Director of the Tema port as saying.

?Everything went smoothly. The ropes came off 20 minutes ago,? Adokor added.

Hamburg-based UN Tribunal on Saturday December 15, 2012 ordered Ghana to free the ARA Libertad.

Argentina has stated that it expects the ship to dock at Buenos Aires by January 9, 2013.
