Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is the 8th highest paid player in the world, surpassing Barcelona stars Neymar and Luiz Suarez.

The 30-year-old, who plays for Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, pockets a weekly pay of £227,000 after tax, totaling £11.8 million yearly.

According to Forbes official website, for the second year in a row Cristiano Ronaldo ranks No. 1 on the list of the world’s highest-paid soccer players with his main rival Lionel Messi in second place.
