Asante Kotoko FC has strengthened its lineup ahead of the upcoming season with promising acquisitions, including forward Albert Amoah from Accra Great Olympics.
The 22-year-old Amoah, who joins on a three-year contract, impressed last season with five goals and three assists in 17 games, showcasing his attacking prowess and playmaking abilities.
Head Coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed enthusiasm about Amoah’s arrival, highlighting his versatility and potential impact on the team’s tactical approach. “Albert brings energy and creativity to the field,” stated Ogum, “and we believe he will integrate seamlessly into our squad.”
Amoah is eager to contribute to Kotoko’s storied legacy, acknowledging the club’s history while setting high personal goals. “I am thrilled to be here,” he remarked. “I look forward to building on the achievements of past strikers and contributing to the team’s success.”
The announcement of Amoah’s signing coincided with the arrivals of Saaka Dauda, a 24-year-old midfielder from Bofoakwa Tano, and left-back Patrick Asiedu, a 21-year-old left-back from Berekum Chelsea.
Dauda, known for his dynamic performances, scored eight goals and provided three assists in the Ghana Premier League, adding depth to Kotoko’s midfield options.
Despite his youth, Asiedu has made nearly 50 appearances in Ghana’s top-flight league, showcasing maturity and reliability on the field.
Asante Kotoko continues to strengthen its roster in preparation for the upcoming campaign, aiming to enhance its competitive edge and pursue silverware in domestic and continental competitions.
