Asante Kotoko has secured the signing of Saaka Dauda from Bofoakwa Tano, marking its seventh acquisition of the transfer window as it prepares for the upcoming season.

Dauda, the 24-year-old midfielder who led his former club to the FA Cup final, has committed to a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

Known for his versatile playmaking skills and scoring prowess, he tallied eight goals and three assists in the Ghana Premier League last season, attracting interest from multiple clubs.

Expressing his satisfaction with the acquisition, Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum praised Dauda’s leadership qualities and technical understanding.

“Saaka Dauda is a player of exceptional talent and character,” Ogum remarked. “His ability to impact the game on both offensive and defensive fronts makes him an invaluable addition. His leadership experience will be pivotal as we strive for success at the highest levels.” Dauda, upon hearing these words, expressed his gratitude and promised to live up to the coach’s expectations.

Thrilled to join Asante Kotoko, Dauda described the move as a lifelong ambition fulfilled.

“Joining Asante Kotoko is my dream come true,” Dauda expressed. “After guiding Bofoakwa Tano to the MTN FA Cup final, I am eager to bring the same dedication and passion to this prestigious club. I am committed to working tirelessly to elevate the team to new heights.”

The acquisition underscores Kotoko’s determination to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season, as it aims to compete at the top of the league.
