Ash Cell Limited, Distributors for MTN Ghana in the Ashanti Region, has donated 1000 exercise books to the Amankwatia M/A Primary B as it marks its 10th anniversary.

The company, which has been giving back to society since last week as part of activities to commemorate its 10th anniversary believes its existence depends on the people.

It had previously donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to three hospitals in Kumasi and some quantities of white canes to the Ghana Blind Union to aid their free movement.

Mr. Ali Al-Sayyed, Sales and Distributions Executive of Ash Cell who presented the books at a short ceremony, said the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities.
He said it was a little way of showing gratitude to the community, having worked there for 10 years in peace and harmony.
He disclosed that the company had plans to provide more support for the school in the area of Information Communication Technology (ICT) to keep the children abreast with modern educational trends.

“We are here to help as much as we possibly can to society and the region as a corporate responsibility,” he noted.
Mr. Al-Sayyed indicated that as a business that depended on the people to grow, it would continue to maintain the goodwill with the community for the mutual benefit of both parties.

Mr. Joseph Akorli, Acting Headteacher of the School, applauded the Ash Cell for the donation, which he said was timely because some of the children had already exhausted their exercise books for the term.
