The Chief of Ashaiman, Nii Annang Adzor, has entered into a partnership with the Director of Hong Zhang Water Pump Company in Laiyang Province, Yantai-City, Republic of China, Cuihong Zhang, to improve water supply in Ashaiman and beyond.
The collaboration sought to provide quality water for domestic and industrial use while fostering cultural exchange and strengthening ties between the two communities.
Developmental initiatives
Speaking during a meeting held in Laiyang, Yantai-City, China, Nii Annang Adzor indicated his commitment to developmental initiatives that enhance the well-being of his people.
“Quality water supply is indispensable. It supports both household and industrial activities and ensures the general well-being of my people. This partnership will greatly benefit the Ashaiman community and promote maximum development,” he stated.
Nii Adzor further indicated that the partnership aligns with broader goals to ensure Ashaiman achieves its developmental aspirations while positioning itself as a hub for innovation and cultural exchange.
“The partnership is part of my vision to promote cultural diversity. I know Ashaiman will become an innovation and business hub in Ghana,” he noted.
Conferment
Nii Adzor used the opportunity to confer the honorary title of Development Chief of Ashaiman on Cuihong Zhang. Nii Adzor expressed optimism that the collaboration would drive transformation in Ashaiman and strengthen bilateral ties.
“Today, I officially crown you as the Ashaiman Development Chief. May this achievement foster more progress for my people and deepen the bond between Ashaiman and Laiyang Province,” he declared.
Pledge
For his part, the Director of Hong Zhang Water Pump Company, Cuihong Zhang, expressed his gratitude for the honour and pledged unwavering support to Ashaiman’s development agenda. He assured the chief and the people of his commitment to delivering quality water supply and embarking on other transformative projects.
“I am honoured to be named Development Chief of Ashaiman. This recognition signifies the trust Nii Adzor has in me. I will work tirelessly to ensure Ashaiman’s progress benefits the entire nation,” he affirmed.
He explained that the partnership would go beyond water supply to include other developmental initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of the people. “The collaboration is a significant milestone in Nii Adzor’s efforts to promote international partnerships for sustainable development in Ashaiman,” he stated.
Cuihong Zhang added that he remained resolute in the role of the Ashaiman Chief to provide his community with access to critical resources and opportunities that drive socioeconomic growth.
