Mr Daniel Amartey-Mensah, Aspiring Greater-Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a passionate appeal to members and supporters who have attained the voting age, to take advantage of the Limited Voter Registration Exercise (LVRE) to register their names with the Electoral Commission (EC).
Making the appeal in Accra in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Amartey-Mensah reminded members of the party who have not registered that, the party can confidently go for the 2016 election with numbers, and so as non-registered members, they will be doing their own party a great disservice if they do not take advantage of the impending registration exercise and get their names onto the register..
?This is the time we have to show our love for the party, by ensuring that non-registered members have their names in the voter register?
Mr Amartey-Mensah, immediate past Municipal Chief Executive for Ledzokuku-Krowor (Teshie-Nungua), reminded members of the party that, despite the challenges, there was the need to close their ranks, so that as members of one family, they could work hard to retain power in 2016.
On the impending Constituency Elections, the Regional Aspiring Chairman advised contesting members to do their campaign in a decorous manner, without acrimony and insults
?This is just an internal contest among family members, and so let us go about it in a brotherly manner, and come out with the best for the party for 2016.?
Mr Amartey-Mensah urged members to mobilize the Youth of the party, so that with numbers, victory could be assured in 2016 election.
Quite recently, the EC announced the opening of the re-scheduled revision of the voter register, beginning from Friday, July 25 to Sunday, August 3. GNA
