The Assemblies of God Ghana Professionals Network was ceremoniously relaunched at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, marking a renewed commitment to integrate professional expertise into the church’s mission and community service initiatives.
Initially established in 2004, the network serves as a pivotal platform within the Assemblies of God Ghana church, facilitating the connection of professional experiences to advance the Kingdom of God.
The relaunch event, themed ‘Sending the Light: Role of Christian Professionals,’ featured former Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood as the Special Guest of Honour.
The occasion underscored the network’s mandate to mobilize professionals for missions, enhance career guidance, and contribute resources to uplift underserved communities.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ghana Church, officiated the relaunch and urged professionals to embody Christ’s values in their work.
He expressed gratitude to those instrumental in revitalizing the network, emphasizing its role in fostering effective church administration.
Kwabena Adu-Boahene, Chairman of the Governing Council, highlighted the network’s historical roots in the missionary efforts that founded Assemblies of God in Ghana.
He emphasized the network’s commitment to supporting church initiatives amidst socio-economic challenges.
During the ceremony, a new Nissan X-TERRA was donated to the national office of the Youth Ministry Department, underscoring the network’s commitment to youth development.
An ultra-modern office space was also inaugurated for the Assemblies of God Professionals Network, with plans for regional offices across the church’s jurisdictions.
The relaunch signifies a strategic step towards harnessing professional skills and resources to amplify the impact of Assemblies of God Ghana’s ministry and community outreach efforts.
