Reverend Ransford Arko, Amansie West District Pastor of the Assemblies of God (AG) Church, Ghana has directed branches of the church to reject the rumours that the Pastors of the church are entitled to 40 per cent of the annual harvest raised by the church.
He explained that the constitution of the church prescribed that superintendent pastors of the church were entitled to 200 per cent of their monthly salary as commission from the annual harvest.
Rev Arko was speaking at a meeting with the deacons of the Peace A/G church, Rev. Peter Amoako, the Head Pastor and Deacon Kwabena Nsia who spearheaded the speculations on the share of the harvest to the pastors.
The Amansie West District Head Pastor expressed regret at the slow growth of the church in the district saying out of about 150 communities in the District, A/G had branches in only 56 of them, indicating that it had not impacted positively on the community.
He pledged to help to revive the aggressive growth of the church before the end of his second term in office as a head pastor in the district.
