The Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana under the able leadership of Sheikh Abul-Faidi Abdulai Maikano paid a courtesy call on the High commmissioner of Australia at his office in Accra. The Public Relation Officer of the council Abubakr Baban Yara gave narration on Sheikh Abdulai Ahmad Maikano the initiator of the programmes and activities of the Council.
These include the recitation of the Holy Qur’an which has been running for the past 53 years and is based on three principles. Firstly request for the love and acceptance of Allah, secondly for guidance and protection of the Islamic religion in Ghana and lastly for Peace and Prosperity to prevail in Ghana, Africa and the world.
He added that the celebration of life of Sheikh Ahmad Tijani, the founder of world Tijaniyya Sufi order is the second and has been in commemoration for the past 47 years. He reiterated the council’s readiness to work with its collaborators in assisting the youth acquire Skilful training and entrepreneurship.
Some of the youth leaders who accompanied the entourage praised the divulging of the mission of empowering them trough skills training and entrepreneurship to the High commissioner, most especially in the field of Vocation and Technical training as well as Agriculture and Aquaculture. According to them this matter is of concern and challenge to the youth of this country.
They took into consideration their number and the huge task ahead, and the realization that the council cannot do it alone put out an appeal for support and assistance. The President who doubles as the Spiritual Leader of the Tijaniyya Muslim council of Ghana commended the High commissioner for taking time off his busy schedule to host him and his entourage. He expressed his wishes that this collaboration will go a long way in resolving most of the challenges faced by the youth of this country.
The Australia ambassador to Ghana was happy to receive the Tijaniya delegation at his office He assures to work closely with the council. High commissioner Andrew Barnes praises Ghana for its peaceful environments, warm reception and the friendliness of the people. The two personalities expressed appreciation to each other for the partnership. At the meeting were Sheikh Yusif Kaka,Yahya bin Yahya, Issifu Issaka and Shehu Usman all of Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana.
