Cletus Avoka, Chairman of the Parliamentary Judiciary Committee, has congratulated Minority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson following the Court of Appeal’s decision to clear him of all charges in the ongoing ambulance case, a case that has been a significant point of contention in the political arena.
Avoka advised Dr Forson to view the ruling as justice served, to shift his focus towards the upcoming elections, and to redouble his efforts in campaigning for the upcoming elections.
In an interview on Tuesday, Avoka urged Dr Forson to prioritize his campaign efforts and support former President John Mahama in the presidential race, underlining the significant role he plays in the upcoming elections.
He emphasized the importance of letting the matter rest following the Court of Appeal’s verdict.
“We congratulate the minority leader, Dr. Ato Forson. We believe in his integrity and urge him to dedicate time to campaigning and securing his seat. He should not be distracted by any other matters,” Avoka remarked.
Avoka’s comments reflect a call for Dr Forson to redirect his energies towards electoral priorities amidst the legal resolution of the case.
