Ghana head coach Avram Grant will watch Ghana duo Adam Kwarasey and Ishmael Yartey as they play for Portland Timbers in the American Major League Soccer on Sunday evening, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The Israeli gaffer arrived in the USA two days ago as he fashions plans to personally meet AWOL goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey over talks of possible return to international duty.
?Grant will be in Portland on Saturday and very likely to see the game on Sunday,? a source close to the coach told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Kwarasey has been out of Ghana?s national team since the troubled Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup but Grant is keen to talk him back into the team as he feels his team needs him in his goalkeeping department.
Kwarasey has been in good for Timbers since joining them from Norwegian side Stromsgodset, starting all five games in the top-tier.
While there the former Chelsea boss will also get the opportunity to watch winger Ishmael Yartey who recently to Timbers as a loanee from French side Sochaux.
Yartey has not earned a call-up into the Black Stars since 2013 under coach Kwesi Appiah and will be keen to put his best on show as Grant watches their home game against Orlando City from the stands at the Providence Park in Oregon.
Yartey, 25, is regarded as the player to solve Timbers attacking crisis.
