Awana is an organization dedicated to bring children to Christ through it?s exciting ministry, spread through the nations of the world and growing in leaps and bounds throughout Ghana. Awana has been in Ghana for over 30yrs helping churches to reach out to children and youth and discipling them into mature believers grounded in the word.
The organisation believes that children are the most fruitful mission field in the world and is built on the belief that ?Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed? which gives us the acronym AWANA.
As part of it?s commitment to the general well-being of children,
Awana Ghana organizes regular fun and exciting Games for members of their clubs with the aim of encouraging an active lifestyle, and also to create opportunities to witness to friends and family of the clubbers. The highly competitive Awana Games are unique and athletic in nature, building in participants athletic skills, discipline and plain old fun.
On the Saturday 8th August, members of Awana Clubs across the Southern Sector of Ghana will congregate at the Nicholson Park, at
Burma Camp to compete for excellence.
Speaking to Awana Ghana?s Senior Coordinator, Singer/Pastor Joseph Gyebi about the purpose of the event, he said, ?Children are vulnerable and their parents need to find outlet like Awana clubs that create a fun environment in disciplining children?
